In the term checks section, we offer Lexeri users a way to check their finished PDF documents for the correct terminology from a term database.
The term check shows you in a document preview where matches with the term database have been detected and thus alerts you, for example, to prohibited terms and the need for changes in the document.
You can access the term checks at the top of Lexeri's main navigation.
In this section you can upload your text to be checked in PDF format. To do this, click on the button 'Create new term check'.
A dialogue opens in which you can first upload the document to be checked from your files via 'Select file'.
Once you have added the document, you can select the termbase you want to check the text against using the drop-down arrow.
Then, in the dialogue, select the language from the termbase against which you want to check the document or in which the text to be checked is written.
Lexeri then starts analysing the document and compares the text with the terminology in the selected termbase.
You will then get a list of results on the left with all the terms found in the document, which are displayed in colour according to their status.
On the right, you can see a document preview of the checked file in which the terms found in the text are also marked in colour accordingly.
Clicking on a term from the list of results opens further details from the term database such as the definition and the usage note. In addition, under 'Occurrences', all text sections or sentences in the text are listed in which the term is contained in the text.
The info sign to the right of the term result takes you to the corresponding term entry in the term database.
The 'eyes' symbol next to the result highlights the sentence in the document preview in which the term occurs.
The menu bar at the top provides you with other standard preview options such as zooming or searching for terms in the text of the document.
In the hits list you will also get a result about spellings of certain terms which are similar to the terms in the termbase but differ.
This could be an indication of a misspelling of a term in the text.
