The Lexeri update in August 2023 brings many detail improvements and a big new feature: Lexeri termbases can now be regularly exported automatically with external systems such as translation tools.
Automatic exports
With the new update, Lexeri users can create exports to a MemoQ server, the RWS Language Cloud, Smartling or a Nextcloud shared folder.
Exports can be scheduled daily, weekly or monthly.
The integrations to the CAT tools such as MemoQ, RWS Language Cloud or Smartling overwrite the respective termbase in the external system.
As an administrator, you will find the option to create and manage automatic exports in the settings of your termbase and here in the "Exports" section.
You can find more information on configuring the individual integrations in the app and here in the Help Centre:
- MemoQ Server - Set up automatic exports
- RWS Trados - Set up automatic exports
- Smartling - Set up automatic exports
- Nextcloud - Automatic exports to a shared folder
The function is free of charge for all Enterprise customers. Customers with a Teams licence can activate the function for a monthly fee.
Further detail improvements
Besides the new automatic exports, we have added some new features that some of our customers have requested. Thank you for your feedback!
Here are some of the new functions:
Reason for refusing a term request
When rejecting a term request, you can now give a reason for the rejection. This reason is displayed to the requestors in an email and in the app.
CSV import settings
When importing a CSV file, Lexeri now recognises the separator automatically. You can also select a different separator via the button "Change CSV options". This is particularly useful for CSV files created in Microsoft Excel, as a semicolon was often used as a separator here.
New export formats - XLSX and TBX for Trados
For manual exports, Lexeri users can now also select a file format for Microsoft Excel, as well as a special TBX format for the RWS Language Cloud or the Trados converter.
Other improvements
- The definition of the term entries is now displayed in the term matches by default
- Editing definitions has been simplified, especially for multiple languages
- Term checks and exports can now be deleted manually again
- Versioning can now be hidden in the settings under "optional functions" for people with a read-only user role
Many thanks to all our customers for their feedback. Do you have any requests for new functions or improvements? Please feel free to contact us: info@lexeri.com We look forward to hearing from you.
