The latest release introduces the new KPI area with statistics and metrics that give you meaningful insights into the usage, activity, and development of your terminology in Lexeri. You can now export terms directly from tasks and re-import them. KPIs: Statistics and metrics
Administrative users now have access to the new KPIs area. The metrics show the usage, inventory, and development of your termbase. They are organized into 5 thematic groups: term checks, term usage, inventory, workflow & quality, and administration.
You can access the KPIs via Termbase > Main navigation > KPIs.
Export and re-import in tasks
You can now export terms directly from a task. You can then re-import the exported files into the task, for example after editing them outside of Lexeri.
- Export and import in the task: Open task > Export/Import button
New in beta: Try it out
MadCap Flare integration
With the Lexeri plug-in, you can check your content directly in MadCap Flare. The term check works like in the other plug-ins, and you can jump to occurrences directly in the document. If you use the AI package, the suggestion and replacement functions are also available.
You can find the plug-in in the termbase overview in the new Plug-ins & Integrations area.
For more information, see: MadCap Flare plugin
Automatic exports to Congree
You can now also export termbases to Congree using automatic exports. You set up the export in the termbase overview under Plug-ins & Integrations.
For more information, see: Congree – Setting up automatic exports
Dark mode
The Lexeri web app is now available in dark mode. Use the icon in the Lexeri main menu to choose between Light, Dark, and System setting.
Term checks
Check SDLXLIFF files from Trados
Language mapping is now available in Lexeri for SDLXLIFF files from Trados. If the language names differ between the two systems, mapping is required so that Lexeri can read the file correctly.
- Term checks: Term checks > Start term check > Upload SDLXLIFF file
For more information, see: Multilingual term checks for XLIFF files
Matches highlighted in input text
In term checks for input text, Lexeri now highlights all matches directly in the text. You can navigate between the matches in the text. Matches are visually distinguished by usage status, and you can map each match in the results list to its location in the text.
- Term checks: Lexeri web app > Start term check > Check input text
Search
Keyword search in custom free-text fields
Keyword search now also searches custom free-text fields. In the entry structure, you define for each free-text field whether it is searchable. Definitions and other free-text fields get their own filter in the search navigation.
- Search: Global search in the main menu > Terms tab > Filter
- Configuration: Settings > Entry structure > Attribute > Visibility
Source filter in advanced term search
In the advanced term search, you can now filter your results by source.
- Advanced search: Term entries > Advanced search > Source filter
Editing terms and sources
Superscript and subscript in terms
You can now format individual characters in terms as superscript or subscript. To do so, select the relevant part of the term in the input field of the edit dialog and choose the desired formatting in the formatting menu.
When exporting and importing, the formatting behaves differently depending on the format:
- TBX: The formatting is exported and imported via the
hitag. - CSV: The formatting is not included in the export.
Edit sources directly in the term
You can now add new sources to a term using a selection in the term form. You can change, add to, or remove existing sources directly in the expanded term details, with no detours.
- Edit sources: Open term > Edit term > Sources
Merged Excel export formats
The two Excel export formats are now merged into a single selection. All previous export functions are available in this selection.
In the individual export steps, you can define all settings for the target file, from the table structure to the attribute filters.
- Exports: Settings > Exports > Export database > Microsoft Excel
API token improvements
There are 3 new features for managing API tokens:
- You can create API tokens without an expiration date.
- You can create API tokens for other users.
- You can extend API tokens that are about to expire.
You can find this function under Settings > API > Create API token
