Our latest update comes with new features and improvements for various functional areas: Simplification of workflows and imports as well as helpful UI improvements.
Workflows
Commission terminologists with several languages at the same time
A subtask in the Lexeri workflows now allows you to commission terminologists or other users for several languages at the same time.
Until now, terminologists have been assigned to a predefined language for the subtask. Now you can invite a colleague to the subtask and select the languages for which this person will be responsible.
This is particularly helpful if there is an expert for several languages on your team who wants to edit the terminology for these languages in one go.
The commissioned terminologists then receive a task in which the languages can be processed together. This means that the previous workflow of having separate subtasks for individual languages is no longer necessary.
New subtask: Edit the whole entry
The subtask workflow now contains a new task type: Edit the whole entry.
This means you can now assign editing rights for the whole entry to the terminologist, including term and term entry level.
You can still select the required attributes and languages for each subtask.
Extended imports: Import usage status from your own column
Lexeri has become a bit more flexible in regard to the Excel file structure you want to import: In imports until now, the usage status has been selected directly for the term status you are importing.
However, the usage statuses for the terms are maintained individually in a separate column or have been exported accordingly in many Excel glossaries, we are now offering an import option for this as well.
This means that entire columns in your import file can now receive the usage status attribute, and Lexeri will automatically assign the correct status to the table value in Lexeri:
UI improvement
Term checks in the attribute texts
Term checks are now also available in text areas that went live with the last update, in addition to the formatting.
The latest update enables you to check termbase compliance of the terminology used in text entries in regard to definitions and subject areas.
We will gradually roll this out for all text fields, together with the text formatting.
This ensures that your attribute texts in the termbase will remain consistent and compliant with the rules.
Extended term systematisation
Individual terms can now be removed from the entry in the advanced options for the term entry and then created as a new term entry.
Its purpose is to act as a counterpart to the current option in the draft term to move individual terms to an existing entry.
More intuitive filtering in the task board
The filters in our task boards now include the option to select ‘All’. The selection process is now more intuitive if you only want to see certain objects on the board or only the requests from a particular person.
Filter improvement: Display the number of comments in the term list
We now also show the number of comments that users have already posted in the term list when filtering for the most recent comments in the terms. This makes the search more precise.
Onboarding assistance in new termbases
We have added an onboarding section to the overview page that explains the first steps in Lexeri. The purpose is to help new customers to find their way around Lexeri. We have disabled this feature for older customers:
