Our latest update has a new feature for you: Term checks. With Lexeri, it is now possible to compare your texts or documents with the terminology or corporate language managed in your termbases.
Checking documents
To do this, you will find the link to Term checks in the main menu. You can upload a PDF file using a simple form, select one of your termbases and the language of the document; the text of the PDF file will then be analysed in the next step.
As soon as the analysis is complete, which takes just a few seconds, the next step shows you a list of the identified terms (on the left) and a preview of the uploaded PDF document (on the right).
Document preview with term matches
In the preview, you can identify the terms found by their colour coding, which indicates their status in the termbase. Prohibited terms are marked in red and accepted terms are shown in yellow etc. In addition, you can scroll, search or zoom in the preview like with any standard PDF reader.
Compact and clear term matches
You can quickly identify the identified terms in the list of matches on the left. Click on the term to open additional details from the termbase entry, such as the usage hint and the sentences in which it occurs in the analysed text. You can skip directly to the specific term in the PDF preview by clicking on the preview icon next to the matches.
Supported file formats
Term checks currently support the PDF file format, as most documents can be exported to a PDF in Adobe InDesgin, Microsoft PowerPoint or Microsoft Word. But we will gradually add support for other file formats in due course. If you frequently use any specific file formats (besides the usual Office formats), please feel free to write to us and we will check whether we can provide support for them as well.
