Term request – workflow
The most recent update for Lexeri has taken the term requestworkflow for terminology managers a step further.
New term requests board
As Terminology Manager you will now see a total of 6 columns in yourTerm requests Boardunder "Term requests". This now also includes all ongoing and completed tasks. Users can now list the personal requests via the user menu -> My requests. The Term request Board is reserved for the terminology managers.
Assign colleagues
Within a task, you can then assign other terminology managers to edit the task. You can select which of your colleagues can cover which language when creating or editing term entries. The assigned colleague then receives an email with the summary of the task and can review their personal tasks via the new task board.
New personal task board
The task board can be accessed via the user menu -> "My tasks”, it lists all the tasks you have been assigned with. There you have the option of viewing the details of the task or marking it as "in progress" or "completed".
The responsible thermology manager receives a note by email after the task has been completed by a colleague or can see the update on the Term Queries Board.
Reference documents for term databases
You can now use the reference documents for a term database to pass on documents with more detailed information to your colleagues. All terminology managers have the option of uploading documents to a term database via the "Documents" tab and providing a short description.
These are then available for download to all users with access to the term database.
New settings for term databases
Source language of a term database
When creating a term database or in the settings you can now select the source language of the term database. We use this information in the form for creating a new entry to preselect this language and to display the terms of the source language to the user in a term database when clicking on the tab "Term entries".
We will also subsequently use the source language for new functions in our workflows.
Term entry ID
It is now possible to display a term entry ID in the term entries. This is automatically incremented when new term entries are added (whether manually by you or by an import). When importing from files such as TBX, we adopt the IDs contained in them.
Since not all users need this information, these term entry IDs are optional and you can activate them in the settings of the term database under General -> Optional functions for your term databases.
MemoQ-CSV export format
Under Exports, you can now export your term database to a MemoQ CSV file in addition to the usual TBX format.
With this file format, we add further information from Lexeri to the usage note in MemoQ, such as the term status, examples of use, definitions and a link to Lexeri.
