We simplified term searches and made them faster to access with the first Lexeri update in 2023. Now you have the additional option of saving searches as templates so that you can access them again later on.
Searching in the termbase overview
You can now search directly for terms in the termbase overview. To do so, simply enter the term in the new search field. The found terms will appear as a list beneath the search field after just a few seconds. The subject areas, tags and individual attributes are searched at the same time as well.
You can change the search language by clicking on the world icon in the search field. Clicking on a term opens the term entry in the familiar term view.
Search templates for term searches
We have revised the advanced search settings for term searches. New features include the ability to save a search as a template for reuse later on.
To create a template, simply open the advanced search and choose, for instance, a subject area, tag or an individual attribute.
Saving the current search as a template
You can then click on the ‘Save as a Template’ button at the bottom of the search bar. This opens a dialogue in which you can give your template a name. Terminology managers can also select whether the search template should be shown to all users of the termbase.
Loading search settings from a template
To load a search from a template, open the advanced search and then click on the ‘Load from a Template’ button. You will now be shown a list with the saved search templates. When you select one of the templates, the search filters will be transferred and a search performed.
Editing search templates
You will find the search templates under the ‘Templates tab’ in the termbase settings. They can also be deleted there if necessary.
