We improved a fair number of details with the most recent Lexeri update. This makes your work easier in regard to the definitions and our workflows. The term search function has also become considerably more helpful. Here are the details:
- More user-friendly definitions
- Improved term search
- Information about pending term requests
- Filtering term drafts for missing languages
- Skipping the termbase list for normal users
More user-friendly definitions
Selecting a language for the definition
When dealing with multilingual definitions, users are now shown a language selection that makes it easer to skip to a definition in a different language.
What’s more, the language can now be selected directly when editing or creating a definition.
Proposals for sources of the definition
Last but not least, sources you have already used are now suggested that you can select and reuse when adding the source of a definition.
Improved term search
Cross-language term search with display of preferred terms
The term search function in the termbase overview has now been improved
When you encounter forbidden term matches, you will now be shown a corresponding preferred term. It is also possible to search directly in all languages of a termbase (for termbases with fewer than 10,000 terms).
You can still select a language in the search field if you want to search for a particular language:
Information about pending term requests
Users are now alerted if they crate a term request with a term suggestion that has already been suggested or is included in the termbase.
Filtering term drafts for missing languages
Terminologists and terminology managers can now filter term drafts for missing languages. This feature is available in the term draft lists for term requests, in tasks and in imports. Doing so speeds up the process of finding drafts for which a language still needs to be added:
Skipping the termbase list for normal users
Customers who only have one termbase can now configure the user role for employees and colleagues in such a way that the termbase list is skipped and the users are taken directly to the termbase.
Administrators can enable this feature under ‘Optional Functions’ in the termbase settings:
